for the people new to AVS: What is AVS?
How can I view them?: You can view the presets by downloading the installer and following it's instructions, then open winamp and doubleclick on the spectrum/oscilliscope, or by pressing contol+shift+k.

A synergy of code and art, 'Lift-Off' by ~synth-c is one of the best debut AVS packs ever... download it now! Requires Winamp 5 with the AVS visualizations plugin. (Suggested by ~zen-x and Featured by `yathosho)
- The Construct
I've had this preset for a while so I've got rather used to it, but its solid work
- Cold Fusion
Stylistically quite nice, but not amazing
- Kompakt
mmm, very smooth, it would have been nicer if there were 3 tentacles thats moved randomly tho imo
- Inverse Eruption
very nice, it might have looked nicer with texer's but its quite stylish with triangles too. One very minor technical point, the movement doesnt look interpolated which would make it look smoother.
- Ameta
Another one I've had for a while, the style is awesome, probably one of my favorite metablob presets, but the movement doesnt quite match the style, too jumpy and beat dependant.
- Pearl Beats
very cool, great fun to watch (bit of gimble lock tho)
- Iced
a little dull but ok
- Ion-Core
Very sylish, good response, overall great preset
- Delerius
not sure about this one, its a tad strange
- Compressor
bler, the colours are yicky and the mouse control doesnt correspond to any logical movement
- Forcefield
I really love this preset, great music response, lovely neony glow style, just great stuff
- Hextic
A bit too much like 'The construct', still ok tho
- Glass Peeks
Seen it before but its a good preset. Interesting to see triangle.ape used for transluent triangles for a change. I like the way the hexagonal grid is extended beyond the bounds of the peaks too
- Clusterfuck
ooh such language. A nice tangle but little empty and slow
- Feedbackcube
very nice idea, very well executed, great
- Spaget
ergh, i dont like these long drawing line presets, okay it looks fairly cool but its not really a visualisation
Overall: great stuff, really great. I have a hard time thinking of any real critisism, some people have said that it doesnt really bring anything 'new' or 'innovative' but I personally dont think that is a good way to judge a pack. The presets have a lovely style imo combined with some good solid tech... and if that doesnt make a great pack, I dont know what does :fav:
i've been expecting this pack for a long time now, and i must say it has fulfilled, and why not, exceeded my expectations. gotta love the way you mix visually appealing stuff with technical know-how, and in a way, i was a bit disappointed when i came across presets with black backgrounds, but nothing that'd bring the overall high quality of the pack. favs:
cold fusion (an all-time fav)
kompakt (could've been more tentacles tho)
pearl beats (i thought it was a moving particle, and then it went 3d, that was awesome)
ion core
glass peeks (another all-time fav)
mesmerize (the comment about black backgrounds doesn't really apply here)
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
